Class settings: debates, self-marking and group work
Do you want pupils to have access to news debates?
With debates, pupils at all three levels read an overview article, then vote and can see each other's opinions within your school only. You can remove inappropriate comments in pupil marking. Turn debates on or off for your class in Class Settings. When they are off, no debates appear on the pupil dashboard or in their Activity Library.
Do you want Engage Pro to be completely self-marking?
Turn off typed-answer questions in Class Settings. They are then not given to pupils in comprehension activities, so there is nothing extra to mark.
What is group working?
Group working is for pupils sharing one laptop or tablet. Switch it on in Class Settings. One pupil logs in as normal, chooses group working when starting an activity and selects the other children. When the activity is completed, everyone in the group receives the points and the scorecard in their Activity Library.
